One year ago today I tried to do something, and I’m really glad I did it wrong. Or right, depending on how you look at it. It’s been a year since I was so far gone I didn’t see a way out, but it’s a year later and a whole hell of a lot better. I love my friends and family and everyone I know and I just want for everyone to know you’re not alone, and no matter how scary our brains can get there’s always people here to help you feel at least a little bit better, anyway they can. I’m rambling but the short form is this: I love that I’m alive right now and will do everything in my power to help anyone I can from feeling the way I did last year. Mental illness isn’t a joke, it’s serious and needs to be discussed in an open and respectful way.
