2017 was a helluva year.
We slogged through a rising tide of fascism, war, and the most dangerous year for trans folks on record.
But through it all i came out as trans to my family (to mixed reactions), i changed my name, i got on hormones, i graduated, i came out as a lesbian, i moved out of my family’s and in with someone i dearly love, grew my hair out, bought some combat boots, and for the first time in my life really started loving myself.
Idk if it was a good year, but it’s a year I came out of alive, stronger and more honest.
Here’s to another of those.
