Happy International Women’s Day everyone!

I showed my support at work today by mixing boy and girl mode up a bit, sporting my men’s red flannel, red nail polish, and the other cute shirt I got from Hot Topic last time. Not only is Ariel a complete badass, but she’s a redheaded too! 😉

This was also a big day for me personally because not only was it the first time I’ve ever mixed masculine and feminine articles together in public, it’s the first time I’ve ever showed any non-binary aspect of myself at work (I’m a college English teacher). No one said or asked anything about my gender, of course, but it definitely felt different to be in front of my students with a tiny hint of my feminine side out. Having total strangers see me isn’t as big of a deal because they don’t know me any other way.

That being said, Transgender Day if Visibility is right around the corner, so I’m thinking about letting even more of Christina show at work then? 😰
