I have decided I need a straw witches hat for the summers. Do they make those? Do I know anyone who can make those?

I am a proud transgender woman. I’ve been denied the privilege of saying that for many years, but now I have achieved what I never imagined I could. It’s taken many little steps and plenty of mistakes, but here I am. 1 and a half years transitioned, presenting for the first time in the middle of my country’s capital city without a single care. All of the events I was scared of happening didn’t happen, all of the stares and double takes I thought I’d get never occurred, I blended in like any other human being. The feeling was overwhelming and euphoric in a way I have never experienced in my entire life.
I still have some way to go, but this day represents the demise of my former self, and the beginning of someone who can start enjoying life. I feel like I can take on the world…
