Very badly lapsed Episcopalian @deliriumcrow decided that she should go out with her Jewish wife to celebrate Fat Tuesday so we had a night out at IHOP.

I had chocolate chip pancakes!

Our IHOP seems like a very happy place. Very very happy. Like everyone there just had the best day of their life and so they’re just glad to see you. Good place to go for me to feel good about myself.

You know what else makes me feel good about myself? Sausage and chocolate chip pancakes, plus cuddles in a restaurant both with my beautiful and intelligent wife.

Like pancakes require any convincing at all. It’s like ice cream – suggest it and you want it. But yes, it was a good night. I have a wife who supports me in my stupid and misguided mischief.

I’ve lapsed so far from my mother’s Christianity that I’m pretty much full of demons if you ask her, or I worship them, or something. But they did get the Fat Tuesday Pancake Dinner right, so there’s that.

Now you’re married to an actual demon, there’s no going back. Every day is fat Tuesday and our pancakes will open the gates of hell.

i am so jealous of your shirt.

1 Year on HRT

The time has gone so fast! This post is a little late, but here it is. My first year on hormones. The first picture is from 2015 to give you an idea of how I looked pre everything, after that are 9 pictures in chronological order showing my progress over the past year. All things considered, I think it’s been a good year for my transition, I am still far off mastering makeup or developing my own personal style, but I can see how the hormones and laser surgeries have already changed my face. My body has seen relatively little progress but due to the very low dosage of estrogen I was on for 6 months, that’s only to be expected. The following year shows a greater promise of stability so hopefully my transition will REALLY take hold then.

I am usually quite pessimistic in regards to my transition, given all the trouble I’ve had thus far. But seeing my physical progression in these images, and acknowledging how much I’ve changed socially over the past year, I am really proud of how far I’ve come. For the most part I feel I have my wonderful girlfriend, supportive family and friends and YOU to thank for that. I never expected this much support not just from the people I knew, but from so many strangers online. You’ve been sending me messages giving me advice on how to manage my relationships with people, how to get medications and generally sending me so many lovely comments and sharing my posts. I am thankful for it all and really do appreciate you.

Also despite my recent post about things being bad and this blog being shut down… that’s not going to happen any time soon!
